just saw movie. its low budget amateur. script was weird and everything links. vampire story was barable for a moment. stories were linked by computer screen graphics. the dvd actually has a behind the scenes doco and they claim that their movie has the most story of the three! ridiculous - the stories were shit. i really just sat there amazed at how bad the movie was, even worse than american werewolf in paris.

You're right. Budget doesn't dictate a good movie, but it makes a bad movie tolerable. I thought the script for this film was pretty crappy, but I definitely enjoyed the acting, music and general production quality. Now if I had to watch the film with the production quality of say Stupid Teenagers Must Die or Backwoods then it would be unbearable. I wouldn't even give it five seconds of my life. And 99% of the population are right there with me.

You need to realize that you can have the biggest budget in the world (Michael Bay) and still make shit movies. Budget hasn't a damn thing to do with whether or not a movie is good or not...it never has. Now maybe if I was 8 years old and scared of people banging on doors for 90 minutes this movie may have had an effect on me.

Sorry, I cannot agree at all. I do not agree the film was packed with 500 fake scares. Granted there were some but not that many and even so, the effectiveness of the film lies within the fact you know what will happen but how does it get there and how the strangers manipulate you into feeling absolutely helpless, and then they don't even have the decency to put you out of your misery but to leave you on the brink of death and barely alive. So no, I do not agree.

It's no big deal, they just say what's on their minds, which is what honest reviewers do. You may not agree, I don't always agree...hell I think it looks pretty cool and I'll probably see it on dvd. If it sucks I've been warned. lol! I love their videos because they're entertaining; it's no big deal whether they liked the movie or not. But if the guys like a movie they definitely say so. This is one of my favorite movies of all time. If youre going to buy this, especially if you havent seen the movie yet, get the yellow boxed "Vengeance edition". It has all of the hardcore sex scenes cut out, and its also trimmed up so that it makes the movie into a more hardboiled action film. The red limited edition, which i also own, is just for purists and collectors.
