What's fantastic about his playing is that he's good at both creating awesome solos and not getting too far out of the beat, like certain power metal guitarists that played with a bassist I know. He was good at solos, but he was playing so fast and so not on beat that the bassist and the drummer couldn't find a good balance. ^^
