joel9brasil1991, that is a short instrumental portion of the song, "Jump" by Van Halen. My air show box seat that year (2005) was directly in front of the loudspeakers, so in most of this video the music you hear is from those speakers, but the slow motion video at the end required additional music. Good luck!

i like the stinger break and crossover, the sneak was fun though, i saw maj. weeks in full afterburner doing the sneak pass, and then on sunday they i went outside my backyard and the birds flew about 1000 ft. above my house, i managed to snap a picture of maj. poteet's f-16c on my mom's camera phone

Yea, since they moved the show from August to October, even sunny SD has overcast occasionally. I got a few close-in shots of the birds, but nothing worth hurrying to upload to YT. Got good footage of the jump jet tho, but YT has hundreds of films of those. I hope to get up to Vandenberg to film some rocket liftoffs. There is a Delta launch manana Dec 5th.

thunderbirds rock but they take additional 5 minutes just to take off that is way long, hey, it's better than the blues, blues don't do pre-flight checks on the runway only the t=birds do that

I posted a nine month float on her as part of her Marine interior guard in the late 80's. She's a beautiful machine. Sailing from home port was one of the most memorable events. Thanks for putting this together.

I am a Brit living in California with my American wife. I was so lucky for me and my wife to not only be taken aboard CVN68 but, to go to sea for 70 Miles and watch the F18's land and take off. I was the guess of Commander Jack Schuller. I am building hime a Special Motorcycle and when completed may be able to ride it on the flight deck for a photoshoot. These people have such a tough job in all weathers and I found it hard to stand up on the flight deck.
