Hiroshima was a uranium bomb of between 10 and 15 kilotons. If this here is a thermonuclear bomb of 10 kilotons it might very well be more powerfull than the Hiroshima bomb. The Hiroshima was a first generation A-bomb, which is based on the 'supercritical mass' theory to start the limited chain reaction. An H-bomb is second generation, has no critical mass, and can theoretically reach an unlimited chain reaction, thus cause a bigger wave and higher levels of destructive radiation then the A-bomb

You my friend, don't know anything about this apparently, so stop insulting people. I'm a trained nuclear worker. A hydrogen/thermo-nuclear device causes a massive wave of radiation, including a flood of neutrons and a massive amount of gamma radiation, which is extremely devastating to anything alive. On top of that there is an alteration of the elements present in the atmosphere. The air you breathe in, as far as that's possible, will cause radiation sickness instantly.

Its an H-bomb you fucking idiot theres no radiation. also there at a safe distance its only ten fucking mega tons, you my friend, are a moron.
By: shaochiavang. on 29 Aug 08, 13:11:18
but even a 1 megaton bomb is big enough to destroy a entire city...i think even a 25 kiloton is also big enough too i think

Yeah I know, that's what I said, wasn't it?
By: Aquinas911. on 29 Aug 08, 07:12:47
Actually - 10 megaton is enormous relative to a typical nuke in a modern inventory, and there is no device that is rated in the 100s of megatons. An average warhead today typically ranges from 50-300 kilotons, which is only .05-.300 megatons. (I think you're confusing the prefix kilo w mega.) On the flip side, we do have a lot more of them.....

Scary to think that ten mega tons is pussy shit compared to the weapons that we have now. Some of the bombs we have are rated in the 100s of mega tons.
