I saw this tour in 95'..they camr down to the Island of Okinawa (Naha)...unfortunately Larry was sick with food poisoning and Lee had to carry the shaow. Frankly, I'd not heard much Lee's work until that night...he (they) were great!!!
By: goldtop4. on 14 Oct 08, 13:18:28
I love how when Larry comes back in at 3:42, the little lick he begins his solo with, is better than everything Lee has just played. Larry, what a legend.

yup, sounds like a direct lift of Peg by Steely Dan.
By: AragornCF. on 09 Oct 08, 04:50:53
This is the absolute best version of this song I've ever seen or heard. Thanks for sharing it. ;-)

Hey joegeek, I'm not sure you know what jazz guitar is supposed to sound like. Check out my band's new vid "It Ain't Easy" (at my youtube page) for a lesson on correct tone for jazz guitar. Most folks say my guitarist has the best sound ony youtube and they are probably right. Go ahead, now.

By: gyggedy. on 20 Sep 08, 01:12:39
not so fusion this souns 80s pop, however, state of art. did not know these guys, was too younger at that times, thanks utube and bastapane for the advice!

Maravilha de duelo de guita. Uma Balada Jazz de primeira. O Larry mata a pau. O baixista é o rei do slap. A platéia mantém o tempo no solo do baixista de uma forma quase profissional. MUITO bom.

Larry Carlton = 25 years LOL
By: jongreek. on 01 Sep 08, 06:40:45
Yeah! Two 335s blazing away in the Japanese night. I have heard the Japanese are very crazy for all things guitar. I like Rit's tone a bit more, as he puts more hair of the dog (dirty channel) on his solos than he normally does.
By: DrewAnti1960. on 01 Sep 08, 05:28:16
awesome
By: bjornengineer. on 28 Aug 08, 15:21:09
Wow, with this one we're back in the smoothest 80' fusion...I love it! It reminders me of a Larry Carlton track called song in fifth grade...if I'm right. Thanks fot uploading this treasure!! Bjorn
By: dece412. on 21 Aug 08, 11:30:47
there is no way this song is original. im pretty sure larry said peg served as a huge influence for the song.
By: Martudutzi. on 21 Aug 08, 06:59:52

By: 1193tiger. on 20 Aug 08, 12:57:36
I love both of them very much! They seems to afford to enjoy playing. I would play the guitar as them!
By: seandog1234. on 20 Aug 08, 11:18:23

peg....
By: 3shiftgtr. on 17 Aug 08, 08:08:50
I think a7x just came along at the right time. It is nice that the 'kids' have left the "guitar solos are passe" mindset behind, tho. And Rit, who has a tendency to piss me off, lays a nice one down here.
By: hotsnakes1. on 15 Aug 08, 20:46:12
awesome, just awesome. too bad everyone now thinks the guy from avenged sevenfold is the best guitarist ever. (i like every knid of music, including metal, but a7x is overrated)
By: BlueRoseRocketBand2. on 11 Aug 08, 22:24:58
