No you sort of got it wrong, you see Gillan had a problem memorizing Ozzy and Dio era songs because they weren't in a story format. David Wayne, what a great voice!!! i am getting really sad right now, but to lighten up the mood... when i saw them as support of Metallica in 87 in Germany, i was a Metal Church die hard fan and after the show i saw David sitting in a car with a girl and she gave him a blow, and i knock on the window and he opened up and signed my records and later on i meet the Metallicats. good old times :-)

This band opened for Metallica when I found out Cliff Burton died. They played at the Country Club in Reseda California and Jason Newsted came out on stage warm up and I knew that Cliff was gone. Metal Church was good but everyone was so sad that night..that no one talked they just played.

Metal Church and this song kicks ass but actually they formed the same year as Metallica, and Metallica had two albums out before Church released their first album. If any band paved the way for Metal Church it was Metallica. Metallica may suck donkey balls now but remember how great they were at one time.
