Nothing has 85,000 Clark axles, or a frame this stout,thick, or as heavy. 130,000lbs is quite heavy for most dozers, except for the really large mining dozers. This vid, doesn't really give a real picture of the immense size it posseses, not just awkward and bulky, everything is proportionally large. Like going from a 30-06 to a 50BMG shell. Took a while after they built the 747, for the 500 & 600 hp Big Buds, to feel large again. The tires are taller an wider, 8ft tall and 40" wide.

Big Roy is not the largest. It is longer and thats about it. This one has 900+ hp, and has been used effectively for three owners. The Big Roy was a museum piece. 3 of them made if I'm not mistaken. This Big Bud 747 weighs quite a bit more than the Big Roy. Bigger engine as well 1472ci vs. 1150ci. This tractor was in the Guiness book, for several years, to be beat out by a wider, not larger tractor as well. This tractor as far as the civilized world knows is the largest Ag-Tractor ever.

This isn't the worlds biggest!! The worlds biggest tractor was build by Versatile Manufacturing Ltd. of Canada. Its mame was Big Roy (Model 1080). It was a 4 axle - 8 wheel drive tractor. It had a 600hp (18.8 L)Cummins diesel.

lmfao, for one thing a tractor drives nothing like a car. its easier to drive a tractor, on most tractors there is clutch, brake (or two brakes) throttle and in this case, it has 3 gears, forward, neutral, and reverse (not counting high range or anything) most tractors steer a lot easier than cars.

I think this is fantastic !!!! There is another Tractor square dance group from Nemaha Nebraska that use all farmall tractors. The Farmall Promenade they call it. They use (H) models for the men & (C) models for the ladies,however the ladies are men dressed like ladies & they put on a great show.

I remember IH doing this at the Indiana State Fair every year when I was a kid. When IH came out with the 2-point hitch, they would go to their corner and pick up a piece of equipment. Then go back into the square! One year they used the crawler tractor. I believe it was the 340 model. Red for the men and yellow for the ladies. The had the show go on at least 4 times a day!

Everyone was all gaga over the monster trucks and there was Art Arfons standing around his pit area, pretty much ignored! A living legend! Oh, well, more time for me :) Great guy, awesome machinery!

He used GE T64 Turbines. As for the "flames" you see when he is going down the track there is actually quite a amusing story behind it. In the old days of tractor pulling, the turbine tractors had to have stacks (exhaust pipes). That were tapered, because people thought turbines made more down force than piston motors. Well Art proved them wrong on paper, and once they removed the rule about the stacks being tapered, he made the tractor you see.

I remember seeing this tractor when I was little. There was a monster truck show/tractor pull. He came out after the rest of them (i dont think there was a class for this type yet, so it was just for show). And he pulled the sled all the way off the track and shut it down himself. I remember the lights in the wheels that would speed up as the jets wound up. I wish they would bring back the monster truck shows with the tractor pulls and the mud boggers! That was the greatest show on earth!

No its not for the drag strip. Search tractor pulling here on Youtube. The only thing in the back is a big thing for hooking up to a sled, the sled starts out easy then as you go down the track the sled gets harder and harder to pull.. A full pull is when you get all the way at the end of the track without stopping or wheels spinning, the transmission is the same as in a regular tractor and you know what a 40hp tractor will do, imagine 1,000hp or more!! And they have to cut the tires just right

Ok thanks, that's all I needed. But (sorry) what do you mean its modified for pulling? Do you mean that its actually not for the drag strip at all, but just a normal tractor (with some changes of course)? I know what the rear end od a tractor looks like and how balers, discs, rakes etc. attach to it, but I dont see much on the back of this tractor. Now that I turned up the sound, I also realized that its not even diesel. I dunno man, a gasoline powered tractor is definitely not textbook.

Prove what? That this is a modified tractor for pulling? Look at tractor pulling videos on youtube, see the back? The back is set up for pulling. This thing has tons of torgue which is why he can spin those wheels, my uncle could do the same, when he is pulling the sled down the track his wheels are spinning this fast. He has 4 520 cu alcohol injected big blocks. His name is James Martell with Boss Hogg, look him up sometime, he needs support of more fans for sponsors.

Oh really? Please prove it. As much as I would want to listen to you it seems hard to believe. Im not going back to 1st grade because they teach this in school. Here's why I thought that it wouldnt make a good tractor: Its on a drag strip. Its fast. It doesnt matter if it has 10000 horsepower its all useless unless you have torque too (you know that very well). I like this better than the Arrogant Worms' version. But in the history of covers sometimes the 'rip-off' is better than the original.
