i thought he was saying "some of those that work forces are the same that burn crosses" reffering to the police being the same as the koo klux klan or however you spell it?

About the song lyrics I believe when they say killing in the name of, they're referring to god. Also, I believe they're saying "Some of those who were forces, where the same that brought crosses" Meaning the majority of killing was done in the name of God. Now they're trying to tell us what to do? I believe it's a rebellion against religion and discrimination.

By: sickfixxreturns. on 10 Oct 08, 20:47:36
REALLY. I mean, who gives a fuck about trying to change our world for the better, some good old fashioned rebellion that even our forefathers were man enough to engage in, a big fuck you to the system? As long as you can wiggle your ass and bang your head to it, what else really matters? :sarcasm:

By: blrrosenberg. on 10 Oct 08, 18:24:24
Rage Against The Machine broke up in late 2000 after the singer left, the other members of the band formed a band with the singer Chris Cornell of Soundgarden and they are called Audioslave. They are touring together as a reunion right now, but they did break up. Sorry for the long message but people have been arguing this with me.

90% of the point of RATM is the political lyrics. Hell, they're even called 'Rage Against The Machine', which is a very anti-establishment phrase.Yeah the guitar and all is good, but they were (and are) trying to put across a political message through the media of music. Douche.
