I read the book 3 times! I loved it. But I imagined the clown a bit more evil. This dude was a bit too comical for me. Didn't quite sell it to me. I actually have memories of an almost movie reel in my head, when I read books I even pick movie characters as actors for the roles in the book. So I was a bit dissapointed with this movie. The STAND was more accurate- book to film.

I hate clowns to this day because of this movie. This is one of the creepiest movies I've ever seen. If only the end wasn't a total piece of crap, a giant spider? come on... it had 2 hours of really disturbing scenes and good character development leading up to the climax. Then it just fell flat.

I think he agrees with the message Colbert is bringing and is admiring it...However (and I think this is the the thing you're referring to) the issue for all who were in that crowd that night is: like a test who dare to stand up for the truth. I wouldn't say he failed this, I think he, maybe like most of the rest, needed some time to let it sink, since it's nothing like they had (let sunk) for a long time. That was - at least- a good sign. Amazing feat. Most people have difficulty visualing a quantity of 7 at most (seeing it without having to count). Now imagine visualizing quantities of 1000's, and with perspective obscurities. He must have had some previous knowledge, explaining how on one of the buildings, the dome was inaccurate (the easiest thing to see and in clear view), but the # of columns were correct. No doubt, an incredible feat of memory and drawing, no less, which I would be incapable of.

The guy rambles too much. As regards technical subject matter it is pointless attempting to do this unless one has a clear undestanding of what it is one is trying to recall. Personally, I find that once I've thoroughly understood something I naturally recall it. It becomes a problem with processes that are not so intuitive or natural to the way things are usually done. Badly thought out cumbersome software packages come to mind and my experience of trying to navigate the DHL website.

Aww, Stephen Sondheim is the best. I got to do Into the Woods a few years back as Jack's Mother...I think it was probably my favorite show out of any I've done. It was really interesting doing it in my high school, though, because our drama teacher was endearingly conservative; everything had to be "rated G."
