Your attacking the messenger. WWF report is the culprit.
By: markbotv3. on 21 Sep 08, 15:22:30
LOL what? it was 5 billion in 1980 6 billion in 1994 and now its 7.1 billion...9.5 in 2100? your out of your freakin mind!!!! if every child bearing woman had only one baby the pop would double in four years. not to mention 2 4 or 6 babys...you must have a seriously pesamistic view of the future my friend.
By: saxmanchiro. on 21 Sep 08, 14:37:53
mark Check out WWF- "Living Planet Report-06" They have three scenarios plotted with range of 8.9 bill in 2050 to 9.5 in 2100. They have a very well done piece of pop. biology in their report. Ecological footprint for humans is not looking good. Check it out
By: markbotv3. on 21 Sep 08, 14:26:25
the only factor for population max isnt land its food distribution. humans dont take up that much space but the ability to distribute food determins max cap. as food technology increases and distribution nodes so will population. in industrial nations children are seen as i financial burden so growth is going down but in most thirdworld nations children are seen as financial boons.
By: markbotv3. on 21 Sep 08, 14:22:37
its not that high...where did you get your number? we will be at 9 billion in 4 years. 18 billion in 20 years
By: saxmanchiro. on 21 Sep 08, 13:13:24
mark Where did they get their info from? The number is out there in the stratosphere and somewhat, IMO, high. Paper/journal ??

Future Farmers of America...who should know more about population caps then the people who Controll the population?
By: saxmanchiro. on 21 Sep 08, 10:26:36
markbotv3 Many population biologists think we have reached 'K' already with our growth in pop slowing down. Any thoughts? Also, where did you get the 18 billion # from?
By: markbotv3. on 21 Sep 08, 10:02:35

SauceMystery you should be able to find what you want if you search Google with, "Global Temperature and Atmospheric CO2 over Geologic Time" -
By: SauceMystery. on 10 Aug 08, 18:00:55
ques which of these were periods of glaciation? i know high co2 happens in time of glaciation sometimes, but i don't have all the time periods memorized
By: questioneverything2. on 10 Aug 08, 16:48:38

"This is my field of life-long expertise. And I am telling you Global Warming is a non-event, a manufactured crisis and a total scam. I say this knowing you probably won't believe a me, a mere TV weatherman, challenging a Nobel Prize, Academy Award and Emmy Award winning former Vice President of United States. So be it." --John Coleman --Founder, The Weather Channel

ANOTHER SCIENTIST BECOMES A SKEPTIC And this name is a HUGE one, the biggest name since Reid A. Bryson left the alarmists side. It is: Kerry Emanuel, Professor of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Science at MIT To read about it search the web for this: Hurricane Expert Reconsiders Global Warming's Impact
By: saxmanchiro. on 09 Apr 08, 13:51:54
Nobody debates the cyclical change of climate from natural causes. This change is WAY faster than other times in the records. The speed doesn't give species a chance to adapt or evolve with the change, especially creatures that cannot move very far from their habitat, plants, animals and fungi. We rely on these other biotic factors for our survival. We are in a mass extinction(one of six that we know of) and we are causing it, not even accounting for climate change. That is added on.
By: saxmanchiro. on 08 Apr 08, 16:59:05
Your list of comeback species are doing so because of human intervention and conservation practices, not nature. Any population biologist you meet says the earth can only sustain 9-10 billion people, not because of space but water and food. Carrying capacity will be reached soon, even with great strides in ag efficiency, hybrid plants, etc. Then you throw in climate change! We are in for some bad times.

I don't believe the left really cares about the weather. If the left cares so much about the earth then why have they chosen to politicize it? By doing that you have guaranteed that half the people on this planet will not pay any attention. By putting Al Gore in the forefront this is what has happened. It seems selfish. They have brought politics to the weather! It leads me to an easy conclusion. More government control for the common good.

ANTARCTIC ICE GROWS TO RECORD SIZE It is now at 16.17 million sq. km. The old record is 16.03 million sq. km And the Antarctic is still growing. In Al Gore's predictions this wasn't supposed to happen.

No a PhD sceiintist: No CO2, no O2 or food to eat - so no life on Earth. I suggest you buy a new dictionary. As you are not a bullshit expert, though you talk it!
By: JonThm. on 12 Mar 08, 11:32:36
I am a PhD sceintist. THe dee psea does nuclear fusion from high pressure water: Molecular nuclear fusion. Man can too, with steam, and get power with no CO2, just a whiff of hE, and no global warming fiction!
