This is just my opinion...but I have had at least 25,000 bucks worh of dental work in my lifetime so I do know what I am talking about. I would NEVER have a wisdom tooth pulled w/out being "put under". Believe me you don't want to be awake for this. If the tooth is fully erupted (all grown in and sticking out) the procedure does go much easier.

Yeah dude you weren't in pain you were in pressure. If you were in pain he wouldn't have been able to work because you would have been screaming. You could have had nitrous oxide sedation. How long was the procedure? When I had mine extracted they didn't use bone and chisel they used a bone bur which basically means they "drill" through your bone (faster but tougher recovery). Did you swell alot because it looked like you were starting to swell after the procedure.

This procedure is totally weird. his teeth must be really screwed up. When I had my wisdom teeht pulled, I just got a few injections, and then a pair of big-ass pliers shoved in my mouth. Im inda glad they went easy after watching this.

Nah, not really. The injections in your gums stings a little, but its about as bad as a bee sting, and lasts for about 5 seconds. After that, The cracking sound in your head as the tooth comes out is a little weird but not entirely unpleasant. then you just keep yourself doped up on codeine for a few days, and your home free :D

A dentist explained to me (something like this) that they go in with the needle until they touch your BONE then back off and go in at a 45 degree angle to your bone or something? i had 3 on the front of my teeth and they did something to my gums(cut int it to remove the infection when the medicine couldent) and my whole face was swelled up and i looked like a monster for like 2 weeks and i have alot of pictures. it was so painful that when i forgot take the pain kill every 6 hours (you take it an hour before the actual time)i had passed out to the pain till the pain killers had kicked in,the worse feeling in the world is passing out, you get all cold and everything

i had one this morning, tooth #14 (molar on my upper right side) and i was scared out of my mind before going in. i had 4 different shots of anaesthetic, only the one in the roof of my mouth hurt. it lasted about 5 seconds. the rest of the entire procedure i didn't feel ANYTHING, and i'm a wuss about dental pain. trust me, if you get numbed up, you have nothing to worry about. the shot might not feel good, but it works! and after the root canal is done - no more toothache! don't sweat it

One small clarification relating to engine start sequence. Each engine contains 2 igniters, so positions IGN L and IGN R refer to left and right igniters in EACH engine, not to the left and right engines per se. Normal procedure is to set the switch to IGN L for the first flight of the day(this selects the left igniter in both engines), IGN R for the next flight segment, and so on. The position selecting BOTH igniters(in each engine) would only be used for in flight starts(as far as I know).

Yes you do although the procedure is different for every airline. Some turn them off before takeoff, others keep them on until reaching FL100 others keep them on till FL180.

some airlines specify that you should keep the APU running until you run the after takeoff checklist. THAT WOULD BE CORRECT ALSO, DON T TURN ON THE YAW DAMPER ON THE GROUND BECAUSE YOU CANNOT STEER PROPERLY. turn it on in flight, it offsets slight lefttoright yawing motion limit 3degr. in 2 engine jets. also 757,767,777.
