I know I'll be hated for this, but I like Hopper's version better, because it is lacking. British people read great poetry, but because its read so well it loses meaning to me. I believe the movie was decent, just didn't follow up with the steampunk/fantasy style Final Fantasy is known for. If you keep it completely seperate from FF, it's a good movie. Honestly, I believe they should have just made it a game; it'd be one hell of a change for the FF name.

yea, i agree with the first part. as for spirits within, gorgeous film, just doesn't need the FF name. and if they could straighten out the plot a little, it'd be even better. sadly, i think they focused on the graphics tooooo much and not enough on the storytelling, which is much more prevalent in the games.
