Its all to do with solar activity(Flares) from the suns surface..The plasmic particals are pulled into the magnetic polar regions of our planet and collide with the atmosphere making the air glow.the result is a vertical curtain of light around the pole and if viewed from the north pole would be directly overhead. I really congratulate 'the project' (i suppose it to be) Northern Kings for the awesome idea and great outcome! I'm an unquestionable Metal Fan, but i also enjoy other types of music styles. 80's oldies, some pop music among others. I know and love almost every single track on their album! And the mixture of metal instruments and characteristics with these well known and in my opinion, really cool songs, made quite an album! I think Tori uses so many lyrical metaphors ie:"turn the page" is because they can mean more tham one thing to each listener... to some the line means quit crying, to others it will mean 'this ride ain't fun anymore' the cool thing is that it all subjective and correct however you interpret it. Either way she has one of most emotive voices ever caught on tape.. I saw her in the Orpheum in Vancouver B.C. easily one of the best shows I ever saw.... and I've seen many many many artists. Rhys

I love both Tarja and Nightwish (with and without her), but it's sort of depressing seeing Tarja perform without the rest of Nightwish behind her rockin' out. When she sings a Nightwish song in her solo career, I love it but it also depresses me. (The band messes up too... I've noticed a few mistakes.) With that being said, Tarja is a goddess. If you were ever a fan of Nightwish when she was with them, you couldn't help but love her. :D

Might be my favorite tori-song..it's hard to say because I have a differnt reletionship of love with ALL of her songs, but yeah Northern Lad is REALLY close to being my top fav! ...Oh and I like Tori and Vanessa Carlton. However, Vanessa's lyrics have yet to reach said depth of Tori's. Carlton has more of a mainstream-friendly sound, but some of her songs are quite nice. Twlight for one. Well if you look at other songs by Vanessa Carlton, you will be very VERY suprised at what you find, and not at all is she a pop artist, some of her songs are categorised as pop, but if you look much deeper, you will find a true talent in her, she is a, well, was, into dark things and wrote dark songs. It's just a shame that A Thousand Miles categorized her into pop which she says she never wants to happen. And I didn't know about the music school 8-) But fare comment
