Hi m8, that meteorite fall at rhodes at the northest place of the island, at Aquarium of rhodes... i saw it while i was sitting at the beach which is about 40meters from the aquarium... the beach became much more lightest than in the middle of the day... i fell too lucky for seeing that thing... maybe i will never see it again.. it was amazing fallen star, the but thing is that i forgot to make a wish... :P next time maybe :)

oh my fuckin god... i saw a meteor 1 hour ago.. i saw it on KOS ISLAND in GREECE. i feel so lucky... i was with 2 friends and the whole sky turned from black to light green. night turned today for a couple of seconds. i was very very lucky to have seen it. i firstly thought it was fireworks but then it took fire and i got scared as hell. then the flash happened. it was such an amazing experience

@ DeborahChris69. The meteor didn't "wipe" them directly. Instead, the black smoke coming from the impact blocked sunlight. Temperatures dropped, and some plants became extinct. Those plants were the source of food for some herbivore dinosaurs. Those died, and meat eating ones also died. NG have done their research about their topics, or they would get sued for showing false stuff. Think before you critize.

I love National Geographic, but "Millions of years?" The earth's been around for thousands. Likewise, it's nearly impossible for dinosaurs to be "wiped off" the face of earth with a 9-mile meteor. Seriously think about it, even the same meteor in say, Russia, just as big as the one they're describing in this video, won't affect the USA in such a large scale to "wipe out" any of us now. What makes us think something like that could wipe out "all" dinosaurs who were in other parts of the world? =P

(caused by his own huge gravity??) or does he has a molten core, like a planet ?? :D Seriously this "ball" in your animation is NO meteor, it's overscaled, the red colour shows a surface temperate up to 700°.. :D In outer space the temperature is far under -200°. yes this could be true and guess what... life would still come back... this is how the earth was formed.. it used to be a big rock of moulten and lava and then it cooled down and it when lava cools it lets of steam (which is water vapour) which means it would rain ALOT reporducing seas and higher land.. and then life will be able to grow again cos life grows better on cooled moulten soil and then maybe the dinosaurs will have another chance aswell as humans!
