The run if the SLR is ruined because of the 1 to 2 gear change. It takes so much time the game is over before it starts. I would love to see a race starting at a speed where SLR does not downshift to first gear but instead starts the rolling race on second gear. Anyway, the driver of the SLR is not making good use of the SLR's gearbox.

Yea it's a nice break from all the idiots who have no clue on how to actually use their heads to have an intelligent conversation with someone else instead of just trying to see who's the better name caller. But yea the F1 and Veyron are both amazing cars in 2 completely different ways. The Veyron is a supercar that has luxury options and it is extremely stable at high speeds, and the F1 was a car way ahead of its time and it still is to this day.

Just to defend Madonna a bit here... Madonna NEVER claimed to have invented Vogueing, whether it be the dance or the culture itself. She repeatedly acknowledged in TV interviews and magazines from the 90s that it she was introduced to it in gay/underground clubs. The song Vogue itself was originally meant to be a B-side to a single from Like A Prayer, it was never intended to be a huge hit and she never set out to "steal" the concept and make it her signature.

Fantasia was released in 1940 and it had been in production years before "Spook Sport" was released in 1939. These two films probably had no influence over each other. The conncept of abstract animation set to music was not a new one, Oskar Fischinger had been working for over ten years by this time.

I took the tour a few weeks ago...what an incredible place. One of my friends said it reminded him of NASA, which I thought was a good analogy. Naturally, we were not allowed to bring in cameras, so I was very glad to see this. Will have to send the link to my car buddies. I though the production value was good, and I'm glad they incorporated a SteadiCam. Patrick

the best part about the Mclaren was the fact that they were not trying to outright beat the world record for speed or acceleration 0-60. they just happened to get it by designing the perfect car... the cool thing the Mclaren did was get the top speed without the help of turbos or superchargers. all NA!!!

That claimed McLaren F2 doesn't really look like a compleate car at all. I strongly doubt that the designers would release that kind of an...unfinished system to markets. The few pics shown there indicate that if it's made by McLaren team, it's purely the first designs done, not the final car. Or well, if it is, the designers didnt do too well at all. It simply doesn't look like a supercar. Looks more like a car anyone could afford and get, not like a legend.

you think that would even fit? you give McLaren 8400cc of engine to play with, and they will crank out way MORE than 1000 hp, STOCK. besides, it's not all about power. the F1 had about 630 hp, and it's only 15 MPH slower than the veyron. and the veyron has a 400 HP difference. all three are great cars though, but i highly doubt they will EVER use an American engine. especially one that big.

I would use a similar bmw v12 agian, but this time have vanos(valvetiming) on both the intake and exhaust camshafts, as the f1 only had it on it's intake camshafts so it could have still been faster. And if that aint enough than supercharge it.

if i made a f2 i would put the 8.4L v10 out of the new viper. put a good supercharger and a 3.5in racing exhaust on it and you could easily get 1000 HP. that much horse power in a low weight with the right gearing and you got a high speed super muscle car
