Get a clue. Duran wasn't even a natural welterweight and he beat him...at his peak...while Leonard had the title!!!! If Tommy Hearns had a chin he'd have beat him. He boxed Leonard's ears off (he did in the second fight also). Ray was tough as hell though. I truely think he fought better flat-footed than dancing and boxing. The Davey Boy Green fight, Duran I, Hearns,etc. he always looked good when he planted his feet and threw.

Leonard would beat any welterweight today IMO. Cotto and Mayweather are excellent boxers but Leonard can do everything they do and he would have a noticable size advantage over them. Margarito is tough as hell and determined but he isn't that much bigger than SRL so he wouldn't be able to bully him like he did Cotto--Leonard would box circles around him for 12 rounds. SRL KOs Judah for sure, too big and he does everything Zab does only better.

Leonard would beat Margarito easily. Margarito doesn't have that much of a size advantage. Leonard way too fast smart tough powerful, you name it. Hearns would beat Margarito too. He'd probably KO or stop him cause I don't care if you have the best chin in boxing history, you are not taking flush right hands again and again from Hearns at 147and surviving. Margarito has a great chin but Hearns had one of the best right hands ever.

When Cohen does it, its less a song and more a poem put to music. I think it has a thoughtful feel to it, rather than the mournful sound most people put in it. You have to take it on its own terms rather than comparing it to how others have done it.

It's amazing to hear people disparage this in any way. He wrote the words as a poem; Cohen is a great songwriter, not a singer, but I personally think it's fascinating to hear what he brings to the song. What I like about this is the arrangement, the background singers, and the fact that -- unlike so many of the covers -- Cohen sings "do ya" instead of "do you," conveying both the rhyme and the colloquial feeling of it. LOL re Anthony Bourdain.

From the stage he advised the OPP that nobody carries their grass in a beer bottle. It was the first time I had ever heard of him, and when he sang Suzanne the hair on the back of my neck stood like that of a frightened cat. ahh. amazing piece. bernstein was a genius.. more so of a conductor then a composer, but candide and west side story are great!! i love the horn counter-melody at 3:05. its very uncharacteristic of bernstein to be so motionless while conducting, i wonder if he did it because candide is such joke filled music.

I was there and stayed awake for the early hours performances which gave them an even rarer and special feel in memory. I was up on the hill, and only went in the arena once. it felt freer than the year before where going for food or whatever was like an expedition. at the 70 one they kept coming round telling people to take their tents down, but no one did. leaving on monday morning felt a bit sad and desolate, as if the best was behind us.
