the KLF was a project from 5 populair dancebands at the time in the 90s, n-trance, snap, melodie mc, culture beat and LA style, except the girl doreen waddell and the rapper, they were picked so it looked like a total new band, thats why it was so mysterieus. it was en is still the first and last collaboration on dance music with so many succesfull pioniers dancebands together, the name KLF was a hint and an synoniem for the 5 bands

Why does everyone credit that perv Glitter? There's more content of The Sweet "Blockbuster" on this (it's on youTube). Love this track, some might say cheesy but listen to the bassline under the section with the Dr Who theme on a huge sound system... Awesome! This is vastly inferior to the UK version and shows the US were totally behind the times musicaly in the late 80's early 90's compared with UK. The KLF had to give it more of a guitar based rock theme to incorporate it into the American market. Check out the UK version!

The number 23 thing is in the trilogy too. The JAMs 1st release is JAMS 23 all the way up to when they reformed for 23 minutes in 1997 to perform as 2K. Lyrics on the 1987 LP "23 years is a mighty long time" from Next. Several important KLF events were on the 23rd of the month like when they burned a million pounds in August 1994 (which there's reports they signed a contract saying they wouldn't publicly discuss the burning for 23 years lol-Wikipedia is on it : )
