The term they use "generals" is a bit ambiguous. It is probably better to term them as knights. So just think of "jiang" as the chinese version of the knight. Zhao Yun is probably the best example of Chinese ideals for a knight back then; loyal, brave, reckless, and not much different from Sir Lancelot (before he committed the sin) from the old Chilvary ideals.

Actually I'm not a Shu fan at all. I didnt even like Liu Bei at all towards the latter stages of the book. He is not a winner. He is weaker than CaoCao who I also dont like,I don't know why you're the second person to imply that. I have a lot of characters I like on all three sides(Huang Gai in Wu, Xu Chu and Dian Wei in Wei, Huang Zhong and Guan Yu in Shu) and even the ones not in the big three.. like Wen Chou and Yan Liang. I also liked Ma Teng. But my favorite character was probably Guan Yu.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Unabridged version. Its about 1000 pages, i loved it tho. If you've already read it, the part(Lubu's withdrawal from a battle requiring 6 of caocao's best officers that I mentioned to beat) I brought up you'll be able to find somewhere between obviously the acquisition of Xu Chu by CaoCao's army and the death of Dian Wei (since both of those guys were in that fight). Just read the chapters containing Cao Cao's army vs Lubu's thoroughly between those two events.

he wasnt named after an air balloon. A certain type of lantern is named after him, the Kong Ming Lantern. They had an double surname, Zhuge (two characters). Most people have a one character surname, for ex. Zhang, Guan, Liu, etc. Another person with a double surname was Sima, Sima Yi.

This is a bit random but did you know in the 1900's the Amur(Siberian) Tigers numbers were below 50 cats left in the wild and today there's around 500 :] That's still not alot but the speacies is stable for now. QAll we have to do is help the Amur Leopard find it's way out of extinction!
