I don't agree. Freddie looked through all the years fantastic (besides the last ones when he was dangerously ill), because he has been so many personalities in his life. At each picture he looked differently. He was an extradionary creature in many different ways. True, the singing was just different from what we were used to: their spirit just shines through. I find this to be still the case with David Byrne. He's no great voice, but man, the creativity blows... He's just alive...wire. It's about energy, I think, kinda contagious.
