well if it hooks up to a dj mixer it will work, or you may need to get a pre amp, which basically allows it to hook up to an mpc

i forgot one thing, the turntable numark pt 01 actually has its own little speaker built in too....so you can listen to the records to find something you want without having it run into your MPC.

you dont NEED a mixer. but its always good to have on for some effects and what not...I actually dont, i just run the turntable straight into the mpc and go from there...then i just add effects once im on the mpc. i wouldnt drop 500 on turntables if your just using them to play records and sample them into the mpc....

numark pt 01 portable turntable - its 100 brand new i believe...its really small and completely portable...its perfect for sampling..i have one myself - has all the outs you need to run into your mpc or whatever.
