The "Kentuckian" in this film is Grizzly Smith. Father of Jake the Snake Roberts. My fater was Luke Brown, the other half of the Kentuckians tag team. I really hoped this was with Luke Brown. I've not been able to find any video with him Grizzly or as the Kentuckian. If anyone has any, I'm seriously searching and any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Jenny. I've searched far and wide for this masterpiece. What memories it brings back for me. My family had just bought a Columbia Hi Fi console record player and the first 45's we played on it was this song and Les Paul and Mary Ford's "Hummingbird, Hummingbird." My mother, who recently passed away, both marvelled at the sweetness and clarity of the sound quality on this HiFi record player. Thanks for the memory Jenny.

I do have it, because I like that song a lot. We just missed it when I started posting since it's 1954 and I started with 1955. I may post it someday but it's lost back there in my 1954 recordings somewhere, and I'm not positive about the location. It's a great recording though, and I also love John McCormack's version back in 1929.

Walmart and Deepdiscount are two places I refuse to spend money at. It irks me when collectors mention these places, makes me question how much they could possibly get out of the actual films, perspective-wise. And there is nothing wrong with the two Elite NOTLD transfers. The first might have better greyscales but they are both excellent, even according to Romero. The reason it has been rereleased is so OBVIOUSLY about nothing but the blood sucking money whore Weinsteins wanting MORE money.

You're right. Budget doesn't dictate a good movie, but it makes a bad movie tolerable. I thought the script for this film was pretty crappy, but I definitely enjoyed the acting, music and general production quality. Now if I had to watch the film with the production quality of say Stupid Teenagers Must Die or Backwoods then it would be unbearable. I wouldn't even give it five seconds of my life. And 99% of the population are right there with me.

You need to realize that you can have the biggest budget in the world (Michael Bay) and still make shit movies. Budget hasn't a damn thing to do with whether or not a movie is good or not...it never has. Now maybe if I was 8 years old and scared of people banging on doors for 90 minutes this movie may have had an effect on me.

Sorry, I cannot agree at all. I do not agree the film was packed with 500 fake scares. Granted there were some but not that many and even so, the effectiveness of the film lies within the fact you know what will happen but how does it get there and how the strangers manipulate you into feeling absolutely helpless, and then they don't even have the decency to put you out of your misery but to leave you on the brink of death and barely alive. So no, I do not agree.

It's no big deal, they just say what's on their minds, which is what honest reviewers do. You may not agree, I don't always agree...hell I think it looks pretty cool and I'll probably see it on dvd. If it sucks I've been warned. lol! I love their videos because they're entertaining; it's no big deal whether they liked the movie or not. But if the guys like a movie they definitely say so. I have this one on DVD (got it at Best Buy in a 6 dollar set of many horror flicks). It's hilarious! The Death Club story is my fave! In the electrocution scene the girl looks and acts like an entirely different character, if it IS her. She looks like a dude in that part, though she's hot in some of the earlier scenes. Great recreation of the "Dance With Me" bits!

I also have that Prayer Of The Roller Boys DVD. I love that movie! Almost Famous is an amazing movie I think.... Jason Lee really did a great job. Basketball is also one of the most underrated comedies... gotta love Squeek "Little Bitch" Scolari! Crossroads was awesome.... love that too. Disorderlies is just CLASSIC. Life was also great... sad and funny, hard to get that mix perfect! The scene where they had to stand on the bottles always makes me ROLL. Roadhouse = perfect. Young Guns 1/2 A+

Had the Stallone interview before he looked like a blowed up baffoon...Just thought I would clarify. The picture is alot better on the newer one.
