In practice this means: 1 The headlamp unit (outer lens, reflector, bulb) shall be type approved to ECE 98 and be "e-marked" to demonstrate this. That can only be done by the headlamp supplier - Hella, Valeo etc. who must test the headlamp in an independent laboratory.

Just so you know UK learner drivers are indeed not allowed on the public road until they are licensed to do so. Even then they must be supervised at all times by some one who is licensed to supervise a learner driver. A driver is not allowed out on the road by them self until they have pass a the driving test and are issued with a drivers licence.

And if you had even bothered to look up what "The Road Vehicle Lighting Regulations" were you would see and I will put this simply for you that all lights are illegal to use on the road unless approved and listed by them self. In the same way all tyres are illegal unless tested and approved. Have you never heard of type approval? Even all new cars are illegal until approved. Its even against the law to drive cars on the road till you pass a test. You really don't have a clue do you.

where did you hear about this? I can see a lot better than I used to since I installed a 10,000k system under my hood. I doubt that many of the local cops even know what an HID Conversion Kit is. I know that HIDs are much more strictly enforced in England, but I haven't heard of anything from the NHTSA. Please let me know where you found out that info...

any hid kit is illegal and will not be an improvement but it would rather give you the "bling-bling" look. The garbage this guy put on his car is illegal and according to the NHTSA, they will crack down and summons fines up to 5,000 dollars... BTW, if you go above 5,000K on hid's and you're looking to see better, you're just wasting your hard-earned money.

uhh..thats a camry, not a corolla. that install was easy because you have a lot of room to work with under the hood. took me forever to install them in my Audi since there was literally no extra room at all. I had to remove both head light housings, I also had to remove the air box for the pass headlight!

Well, true but not in all circumstances. It was a halogen housing, but it was in no way designed for high intensity lights. Many cars are reflector based high intensity discharge lights, but they have to be engineered for it. Projector housings are the best though, because they focus the light.

Unfortunately, I had a few problems with mine, and couldn't afford the gas for it. I was also pretty unsatisfied with the all wheel drive performance in the winter. If I had several children, and lots of cargo all the time, I would have loved to keep it though. It was really comfortable.

I have traded it, and I got a Prius. I've been averaging 45-50 miles per gallon in the winter, and think that's awesome. I have a Blazer for any SUV needs. Thanks though, I did experience problems with the transmission.

If you mean the Buick Rendezvous, and you are thinking about getting one, don't. They depreciate like nothing ever before. When I bought mine, it was worth $16,000 on kelly blue book. When I sold it a year later, I was only able to get $7,000 for it. Believe me when I say, I will never purchase one again. Also: Had a transmission problem [$700+], and a few other minor things that cost about $500.

Aloha, Thanks for posting the video you can really see the difference in lights. I noticed in the video when ever the light was hot the camera would compensate due to it being in auto mode. I would like to see you do a test using manual camera settings. 1/30 shutter, 4.5 FStop, 0 Gain or what ever you feel. This would produce a bench mark atmosphere when reviewing the footage. well its all fuzzy and scratched up. but its ok now, i went to my my cousin's apartment and helped me restore it. like if your head lamps look foggy or damaged, you can fix it by water sanding it. then apply maguiar plastX and it will make your headlights brand new again :) wow auto zone? im going there haha and sorry to ask but have u found the name of the dj tiesto song? thank you bro :D. oh and i LOVEEEEE your face gauge for your speed. reverse glow looks soo nice ^_^

this is a japan HID knock off kit,8k are suppose to be bluer than that,germany ones are better,no more Japan hid kits there no good as far a s color is concern
