I think most humans are taking the evolution in the wrong way, they feel and believe that scientific and technological achievements are going to "graduate" humans to the next level, and the next level is way much basic than that!, it's about consciousness, we must see us as ONE, becouse thats what we are, ONE. Only after we complete this goal the human race could grow together, and yes, why not?, we can get our energy directly from the sun, just like the budah.

I am afraid that the human race has already depleted to many nonrenewable resources on the way of progression to the state we are in today. A collapse of civilization in the near future because of a general resource depletion due to overpopulation is a very likely scenario to me.
