What reason do they give for including H5N1 in the vaccine? I thought they used live viruses that have had their potency removed just to trigger the immune system to produce an antibody before you are exposed to the full strength virus. You are only contagious to people whose immune system is so low that they can't even handle very weak viruses. Could the H5N1 be what is supposed to trigger the immune system? I need more information and less drama.

Thumbs up is disabled?! Vaccines have had a major impact on practically eliminating many of the diseases that killed/crippled so many people. There is no memory of the terrible epidemics because they don't happen anymore. Talk to older people who lost loved ones-sometimes entire families to them. I'm sure they'd be the first ones in line to have they're kids/grandkids vaccinated. Don't trust anyone's line-good or bad. Do your own research to find out why H5N1 is in the vaccine. Then decide.

The reason why this could be the next pandemic is very simple. It was the last pandemic that killed 40 million to 100 milion people. All that has to happen is for this virus to mutate, as viruses always do, and be able to infect cells in the nose or upper lungs and then nothing will be able to stop it. It isn't that it has only killed some people so far, all viruses start out that way. The problem is they don't usually stay that way. If it starts millions will die in weeks.

Hmmm I was wondering how you can make this last for 6 minutes. You are missing one important statistic. How many people have actually died of Avian Flu since 1997. In 11 years, less than 200 people have died, yet since 2002 I have been told that the Avian Flu will be the next pandemic and that I must be very afraid. In an ideal world vaccine or more generally drug manufacture would not require any nasty chemicals. Unfortunately I'm afraid if you take out the nasty chemicals in the case of flu-vaccine you would end up with no vaccine at all and that would not be good. Its left to manufacturers then to reduce the levels of nasty chemicals that appear in their final products to the lowest level deemed to be "safe" and they do otherwise they'd lose their manufacturing license. Of course injecting people with neat mercury is bad but who does that? the issue is if the form (thiomersal) and level of mercury contained in some vaccines is toxic and the GACVS concludes not. I'm not trying to prove anything, I'm just trying to help people understand how vaccines are really made and the great deal of care and attention that goes into it.

The Global Advisory Commitee on Vaccine Safety (GACVS) reviewed the issue of thiomersal in childrens vaccines a number of years ago and concluded there was no scientific evidence of toxicity from thiomersal containing vaccines. Don't believe everything you see. If you've ever taken a lab course in college, you know the ingredients he mentioned are correct, but he is wrong on the order and the exageration. For example, you don't use "detergent" like laundry detergent, what you use is a chemical that breaks cells (in this case chicken cells) apart in order for viruses to invade. They are different.

As an Avian Biology major in one of the leading poultry departments of the South, I can sit back and laugh at this video. H5N1 was NOT originated from enclosed growout houses, especially those with tight biosecurity measures. It's the village chickens that are exposed to the environment and have close contact with humans that pose a threat to a possible pandemic... notice, "POSSIBLE" pandemic... there is no reason to stop eating chicken or to protest that chickens should be grown outdoors...

most modern vaccines are long term poisons, especially ones that are designed to be strong enough to combat bird flu. Tamiflu is a very very potent drug. Apparently intravenous vitamin c has shown some surprisingly positive results, along with Hydrogen Peroxide. But as they are as cheap as chips, no drug company will go near them, which i feel is treasonous.
