I couldn't care less if they remade it, I like the original enough to play it regardless of graphics. PS3 is a ripoff anyway, the hardware is far superior to any other next-gen console, but they never make games that show off it's potential. You're paying for beefed up hardware that could render amazing graphics, but doesn't.

I'd say 15th anniversary at the earliest, I don't see how they could possibly do it in the next 4 years though, they're obviously planning to finish the DS remakes, with V and VI, then they have yet to finish the "Fabula Nova Crystalis", on top of that they have a lot of new IP's and the Dragon Quest franchise. There's no rush, it's inevitably going to happen at some point, it's in there interests to remake the best selling game in the franchise, and they know it.

@Brandini01 Don't worry, FF7 was developed by SCEA as well. In other words Sony owns rights to FF7, it's not going anywhere else if the remake is coming out. Which I hope it does in the future.

The piece was performed at the Sydney Town Hall at the a concert known as A Night in Fantasia during October 2005

I hate to say it but this performance lacks some energy, and the orchestra isn't too good either. If only the London Philharmonic would make a recording of this like they made recordings of most of the Dragon Quest music. I'll probably get a thumbs down for this but I've heard too many orchestras to call this one good. AND WTF??? At 3:47 you can NOT have females singing that part. Amazingly, the part at 3:47 actually sounds best in the original FF7 version.

Actually it samples the tune of a song. Mariah added her own elements and lyrics in her song. Just like how Dreamlover and Heartbreaker are HER songs not others just because she sampled a stupid tune. She has every right to law claim when her song is original but has a sampled tune. You make it sound as if she is stealing material from others, she's just using tunes that no one took interest to in the first place. Also "Fantasy" was written for a woman in the first place.

What did they do with Selphie, Quistis, Irvine, and Zell in terms of character developement? You only get a little bit of character developement from Squall and Rinoa but it's way more than with the other characters in your party. Again, I liked them but I felt they didn't do anything with them.

Final Fantasy VIII is easily one of the best FF games EVER (and yes, I played all of them except XII) and that is FACT. Anybody who disagrees just hasn't played it or played it only a little and didn't pay much attention to the story, characters and plot twists. I have beaten this game 8 times (I don't usually beat RPG games more than twice) and I was thinking on starting a 9th game sometime soon (the last time was a year and half), 7 is great and all but 8 is even better, 10 is amazing too.

I'm proud to say that I met him (and Dawn.) It was WAY after his time with Camel, though. His Watercolours tour, I caught him in Las Vegas. I still couldn't constrict myself from yelling "CAMEL" thoughout his most excellent solo concert.

i think it was also the way they staged this song. for this show. it was a lot of work for him to do and sing at same time. he was doing a lot of prancing and had to hit a lot of marks and be at certain places at the right times and all that. his voice might have started to give around that time. i know when i saw him in the 90's he'd lost considerable range. still love him though. very very much!!!!!
