I think what separates Gwen for others of her era is that she worked hard to earn her stripes and the music is the key to her success. With the rest it seems the show is more important and the music is second. I love how she uses restraint and doesn't over vocalize or shout all the time i.e. Aguilera.

I have heard versions of this song done by the Kingston Trio, Peter Paul and Mary (even Elvis!). While all were good and I enjoyed them, well maybe Elvis wasn't quite as good, no one can do the song like the man himself!! You are absolutely right that it depends what you're looking for -- and often on mood. I like all sorts of voices -- everything from Paul Robeson to Thomas Otten -- and I like unusual voices, like Mary Travis'. I prefer the PP&M version on the basis of voice rather than emotion. I do like Lightfoot and, as I understand it, he was no stranger to pain. To answer your PS, I've been 'there', but not, thankfully, all at the one time. Perhaps that's why the words don't resonate.

I guess it depends on what you're looking for. I really like this version, but it is pasteurized. Lightfoot's version is truly authentic. Like a down and outer really feeling his pain. That's the true intent of the song. Not some "oh my goodness, I am so sorry I can't go home because I am broke".

The union itself isn't the problem. The problem is that it's being driven by greedy corporations. We need an overhaul of IP law, a rejection of the idea of draconian DRM, a more educated population which would choose 'free' software alternatives. Granted that's not going to happen but slowing down trade globalization (since there is no way to stop it completely) won't help much in and of itself.

Not enough room here for an adequate response. Suffice to say we do very well via value added services: our clients are happy to pay well for good service and save on software costs. We contribute and provide feedback to the community and we benefit from that also. On hardware, sure you could open source hardware design and still charge for the product, no one has a problem with charging for something that clearly can't be made for free.

And as you say in your other post, it's impossible to mistake the voices when you've been listening to them for, in my case, 45 years! I just started a job as a teacher assistant at a Montessori school...and it's freaking awesome. These kids are so self-sufficient, and much calmer than kids at private school. This is so awesome!!! I remember all the materials in this video! I went to Montessori from primary through 5th year and absolutely loved it. Utopia. Here's something interesting that the video didn't mention. The kids call their teacher by his/her first name to promote mutual respect. We already knew the teacher was there to teach so there's no need to remind about their status. I thought it was the weirdest thing when I went to another school and the kids called their teachers by Mr./Ms. ***.

Educating for Peace goes through high school. There are still only a handful of schools that go through high school but they are growing. I have visited and shot at Clark Montessori in Cincinnati where students can attend public Montessori from early childhood through high school. It was recently given a "Bronze" award by the US News and World Report. Also children have the choice how long they want to do an activity. They move on at their own pace.

I remember seeing him in person at his rally in Maine sometime during...I think it was March? Yeah, it was definitely amazing to hear him speak, and from that day on, I became a supporter. After waiting in line for about two hours in the cold winter afternoon, it's an experience I'll never forget. What makes him different from other candidates is that he has the ability to inspire confidence in people, no matter what party affiliation or walk of life. Agree or not, you gotta hand it to him.

I like this! I wish this was out! This version is way better then the real RE4. Kinda gets off te whole basis of Resident evil games, but it's still awesome. They should at least make this with a diffrent charatcer. It would make a hit. Without question.

looks really great.. scary atmosphere and all.. but I really cant see how ghost fits into the story line.. virus that creates ghosts? But as a lot of people writes.. I also perfere the real RE games especially RE remake and RE zero.. those were some serious scary games.. and the camera angles and controls took like what 5 min to get used 2.. RE4 is a great game and all.. but its not scary at any point like the old RE games.
