Doesn't 'Great Band' give credit to The Cure..I've seen them many times & have a number of their albums...but in terms of lyrical quality, consistency, & the influence on many bands since they split The Smiths are in a different class. The Cure have been together for nearly 30 years..The Smiths where together 5 years & yet their music taken as a whole collection out shines The Cures..having said all that...what makes music so alive & emotional is it generates different feelings in all of Us.

Such beautiful and yet tragic lyrics. Robert Smith is a true poet.I can't imagine The Cure not playing music. Hell, Robert Smith could tour by himself and play in little ratty clubs playing all acoustic and I would still go.Love The Cure!!Robert Should be knighted, he sure as shit is better than Elton John or Paul McCartney!!Not to disrespect those guys, just saying that Robert has so much more depth than those two as far as music goes and he sounds better live.
