Should've bolted the motor directly to the stock tranny. If it was to big than you could've gotten a smaller one (longer range) and have all your gears to compinsate for less power.

Yes, you are correct. When people refer to a vehicle as "zero emissions" they're talking about exhaust. Since the power from power plants is generally cleaner than the pollution caused by burning gas, it is much better, mile per mile, to run an AC vehicle than a gas powered one, especially if you can plug in at night when the power grid sits mostly unused. however, until the power plants are from entirely renewable sources, there will always be SOME pollution created. where did you hear about this? I can see a lot better than I used to since I installed a 10,000k system under my hood. I doubt that many of the local cops even know what an HID Conversion Kit is. I know that HIDs are much more strictly enforced in England, but I haven't heard of anything from the NHTSA. Please let me know where you found out that info...

any hid kit is illegal and will not be an improvement but it would rather give you the "bling-bling" look. The garbage this guy put on his car is illegal and according to the NHTSA, they will crack down and summons fines up to 5,000 dollars... BTW, if you go above 5,000K on hid's and you're looking to see better, you're just wasting your hard-earned money.

uhh..thats a camry, not a corolla. that install was easy because you have a lot of room to work with under the hood. took me forever to install them in my Audi since there was literally no extra room at all. I had to remove both head light housings, I also had to remove the air box for the pass headlight!

The smaller the motor cog is, or the bigger the wheel cog is, the more torque you have. More torque, but less speed. You can have a bigger motor cog and it will be faster, but less torque. Unfortunately for this motor, the rear cog would have to be twice the size, as it dosn't have much torque, which is why I bought a hub motor instead - Check out my newer videos :)

Also i forgot to mention, Wheel speed (at surface) = Power * Radius Wheel / Wheel Torque So therefore by decreasing the torque output you have increased the top speed! :D Again im a student so ive probably got it wrong! Also great informinative vids, i suck with tools and i feel like doing this! And im not saying your choice in cogs was wrong. For a high torque motor (e.g. starter motor) i would probably do something like that

From my basic understanding of physics Torque Wheel = Motor Torque * RadiusMotorCog / RadiusWheelCog So with a small motor cog and a large wheel cog ratio you reduce your wheel torque. Your acceleleration is a function of your radius's again Acceleration of system = [MotorTorque * RadiusMotorCog * RadiusWheel / RadiusWheelCog - Friction]/Mass So again you have slowed your acceleration. How does it go up steep hills? I am only a student so if im wrong someone correct me!
