Yeh, if I remember right this was 100% improvised. Just like the best of Jazz. I remember he also played one of the hardest classical pieces ever, a Bartok piece, and classical critics said he played it flawlessly. Not many pianists have can even attempt to master both Jazz and Classical like Jarret.

Thank you pepper23 for posting this. Its nice to still see beyond perform together after ka kui. I love this video because it shows them singing all the old songs when ka kui was still here. I miss all those songs! Thanks again!! Ka kui had stronger voice, but this is still good. THANK YOU!!

I love beyond when ka kui was part of it. I still like beyond. But wow, listening to this...their voice...just not as strong as ka kui's and not very sync either. I had to fast forward some parts because I can't bear to hear them off key or not in sync. And I can't help comparing them to ka kui. I will love beyond no matter what so I will still support them. They are not as great as back when they were w/ ka kui. But they are still MUCH better than most out there nowadays.

The best day of my life was in June 2000, playing in a concert at London's Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. I was playing the Scottish Highland Pipes, accompanying Lulu singing "Amazing Grace". Lulu's just great! And also performing was Anoushka Shankar - I loved her playing - and Ravi was in the audience. Name-dropping again: Madonna, Brian Adams, Jimmy Nail, Angharad Rees, Vanessa Redgrave, dancers from Moulin Rouge et al. all performed too. What a great bunch of guys. Bob Ash

It is true there are better guitarist than George, better bassist than Paul, better drummer than Ringo, better rhythm than John. But it does Not mean they're a better band than The Beatles..Only The Beatles played their instruments in total harmony. Even the blending of their voices is so nice. The composition is awesome. Modern rock wouldn't be here today if not for them. Their music changed the music trend in the 60's. And even unto this day the music they created is a standard to be followed

Harrison does not get the respect he deserves for his guitar work. His sound is so unique, from the first chord you always instantly know its him playing. Paul was also adequate with the bass. The Who would have blown them off the stage, but they made the greatest rock records ever.

wow dig a pony might be my favorite song of all time. and listen, hendrix was a great musician, better at guitar than george but hendrix was more of a solo project than them. beatles overall r still to this day the most perfect band. amazing lyrics, all played their instruments perfectly and they had perfect harmony n melody. clapton doesnt come close to any of them and very few guitarists actually r better than harrison

TideGirl makes some valid points re the Beatles early career (lyrics) but overall the Beatles were the 'definitive' rock group of the 1960s and still influence rock today more than any single group. Of course, we could argue about Elvis and Chuck Berry too.

Why cant we all just get along lol? They are all great. I love all of the people you mentioned but they all have made songs that didnt appeal to me. One of my fave Hendrix songs is Manic Depression but I have met quite a few that hate that song. It dosnt bother me everyone has different tastes.

haha eric clapton better more artistic than john lennon? haha im clearly talking to a guitarist. Ye im sorry clapton may be a good guitar improvisor and wrote some great riffs and a couple good songs, but ye he can hardly be considered a song writer when compared to John Lennon, or Paul and George for that matter. Like similarly to Hendrix and Pagey, who are buy far more compositionally impressive, the beatles just shit on them with their perfect melodies throughout their career.
