I'll relent, and at the risk of boring those who already understand the CO2 greenhouse effect and feedback amplification, I'll explain why your claimed need for an internal energy source is unfounded. The Earth is heated directly by about 170W/m^2 solar radiation, but because the atmosphere is largely transparent to sunlight, you could relocate the sun internally within the Earth, diminish it to only 170W/m^2, and the system would have no way of knowing the difference from its external location.

Regardless of how it happened, whether autoimmune problems etc. I am not producing enough insulin and my liver is producing more glucose than I need. Both are a failure of the feedback mechanism. There is also a complication of insulin resistance due to the excess glucose being converted to a fat that inhibits insulin uptake by cells -a typical run away system that I control by diet etc.

To proceed beyond what I see as an attempt to reargue already settled material, the new Ahn/Brook paper has appeared in Science (Oct. 3). It's importance lies in the evidence (mainly from Antarctica) that the current potency of CO2 in driving temperature was also high prehistorically.

I think you have missed the point. Firstly, methane does not persist as long in the atmosphere as CO2, saying "a cow does the global warming of 4 cars" is nonsense - you've cherry picked one attribute. And anyway, cars are not the major problem for AGW - the main problem is the way we generate electricity. You need to understand more about climate science to have an informed opinion either way. Your statement is exactly the sort of thing I mean by the "proof by burden of proof" fallacy.

What would you say if i told you that a COWS, thats right, beef and milk COWS make many times more global warming contributions than all the cars and trucks in the world. Cows produce Methane, CH4, which is 25 times more potent as a global warming agent than CO2, if you with a little math assuming 20mpg from the cars of the world driven 5k miles a year average, a cow does the global warming of 4 cars, and there are 3.3 BILLION COWS in the world, and only 700 million or so cars, think about it.

Yes its natural for the climate to change and yes what we do will affect it. Humans didnt heavily populate the earth a million years ago like we do today, the earth was younger and had unpolluted resources and enviroment, so its impossible to "predict" the outcome of future weather from past results. p.s. Modern filtration systems not only capture most of the CO in combustion engines and furnace but those that have catalyst converters in their filtration system catch CO2 as a solid. It's a great way to get the world off of oil without having to publicly admit we be producing less and less oil every year once the peak has past. Since plants use CO2 to live, and increasing C02 would cause plants to grow faster, wouldn't this cause a self-regulating condition? If C02 levels are rising, are other gases in the atmosphere dropping, such as oxygen?

All I know is that Mars has been experiencing the same climb in temperature as we have over the last decade or so. As for the other planets rise in temperature, I'm sure that is happening too. The difference, is, once again, I really don't care about climate change. Its happened many times in the pass, and will continue to happen in the future.

If you're going to argue solar influence on Mars (and Mars ISN'T warming globally), then you have to show that all planets are warming, and you also have to show why our stratosphere is cooling (something which shows that solar radiation is not to blame) Obviously, you haven't read the paper by Harries and colleagues from 2001 (in Nature) about direct measurements of C02 being the principle blocker of outgoing radiation.

Hmm, everybody knows that Mars is experiencing the same temperature climb as Earth right. This indicates the Sun being the culprit of climate change. Who cares about CO2 and all that. the simple fact that Mars is experiencing the same climate change, at roughly the same rate as Earth, is compelling enough to see human induced global warming, at the rate it is climbing, is complete bs. The reason there is a lag between the concentration of co2 in the atmosphere and the global average temperature is because as the temperature rises the amount of co2 that can dissolve in the oceans decreases and hence produces an increase in co2 concentration. As can be seen from the graph what was a small scale temperature anomaly is sustained thanks to the increase in co2 emissions. This is one example of positive feedback loops in global warming and in fact proves the point.

only way to find out would be to do calculations for yourself which,if you go back to how to calculate temperature and such anyone in history could have made a mistake towards something like if you were to calculate the amount of C02 in the air at specific times you can never be certain [unless you do the experiment of how to find C02 for yourself]

That's all China does is burn the dirtiest coal for energy called brown coal. I think the situation with China is biggest issue because they not only use cheap labor but cheap fuel. This makes US exports very uncompetitive no matter how you look at it.

The volume of carbon dioxide produced from coal burning power plants is in the millions of tons per year for an average plant - far beyond the needs of commercial uses. thus the initiatives to sequester (storage) the carbon dioxide underground to keep it out of the atmosphere, where it contributes to global warming.

Pumping carbon dioxide into the ground is a stupid idea! Carbon Dioxide has value! The hot gas could be cooled into liquid and can be utilized for commercial purposes.
