fake or not this got me thinking. a few months ago i was on the freeway.(Ca.Bay Area. Heading 880 North by Whipple Road.) In the distance I saw what appeared to be a large flying disc like the one in this video. i described it as a large circle with a nose. like a persons side profile. when it was turning it was very hard to see because it was very thin. it circled the area for about 10 mins. this video is so close it's scary. i think the unveiled video is fake to cover the real story.

It has to do with intent. I saw this some time ago. after the Haiti piece came out, people thought it was real. It wasn't denied. This came out at the same time without disclaimer. Was it taken from you and posted, or was there a hope for power from the wake of the other? Following letter of the law, but not the spirit. Attitudes may say such is OK. Like the Bigfoot fiasco, this type of media, if not stated as a CGI or other technology, will likely incur legal and possibly criminal lawsuits and charges. CGI is just a tool, but like a hammer, if used to hurt someone intentional or otherwise, your butts in a sling. I'm a producer, and would never hire talent who pulls hoaxes, and would blacklist such throughout my industry. We cannot use people We can't trust. The real secret of recruitment in those big companies is: 60% luck, 40% other. 1983 animation test by Disney, directed by John Lasseter (who went on to direct and produce most of the Pixar films, including Toy Story). Back then Disney owned the film rights to the Where The Wild Things Are books... they didn't use them, though, so they lost them. Check out this amazing test, which combined traditional hand-drawn, 2D animation with then-state-of-the-ar t 3D computer animation!

It would have probably been too costly for a full length project of this type to be feasible back in 1984. It's astonishing though - I had no idea CGI had reached such an advanced point so early on. Everything pretty much points to Pixar's lamp and ball animation as being the start of all this - anyone know the date of that? Otherwise it's nothing commercially popular until Beauty and the Beast, and nothing fully 3D until Toy Story in 1995!

do you know what you're talking about? i won't be rude since maybe u don't understand too much about animation. 3D at least is much easier and cost efficient than making 2D animationsin many cases. take lion king, do you remember the captions where many animals walk at the same time? that was done in 3D then masked in a way to make it look 2D, why? because hand drawing it would be way too much work and the animals would look as if they're sychronised instead of walking uniquely

Hm. The Turtles' design is pretty goofy and the overall look and animation is a bit too unrealistic, but it's not THAT bad either. However, I really like the new CG movie. I think it had a decent style, great animation and very cool choreography as well. And the Foot gang's look was awesome, too.

Thank you for the comment. Pierce Brosnan was too much of a pretty boy to play Bond. I feel similarly about George Lazenby. Too much focus on his looks and charm. While obviously Daniel Craig brought the correct look for the role, his portrayal of Bond was incredible. The franchise got an undescribable and long overdue rejuvenation when Craig took over. He more than matched Sean Connery in his performance in Casino Royale. With proper scripts and writing, mark my words.. Craig WILL surprass him.

Daniel Craig is EXACTLY the rough edged, bad ass, rule breaking, suave Bond that Ian Fleming imaginged. Daniel Craig is the closest thing ever to the true badass Fleming wanted Bond to be. He plays the character with such grit, focus and by far just the determination to be 007. I hope Craig does more movies than Connery cause they will ALL be better. No way. There is a misconception that in CGI you just have to press a few buttons and the computer does all the work. Cutting-edge 3D animation is a long, painful process and always has been. Advanced character animation and rigging often requires difficult mathematical expressions to get things moving correctly. And that's not counting the huge learning curve attached to learning the software. Plus you need an understanding of traditional animation to begin with.

Yep - it's funny to see how many people are not aware of Luxo Jr. For me that was the turning point of computer graphics. Incidentally a lot of the models in John Lasseter's old films can be seen again hidden away in most of the Pixar movies - the lamp, the beachball, the snow-dome-shaker thing, etc... :)
