Daffy Duck takes on the Nazis in this old cartoon. It was referred to as "banned" where I got it, but people keep saying they've seen it on TV recently so I guess it's just rare. :P
The two cards that provide the English translation appear to be blank, but I put the translations in through the miracle of annotations!

Frankly, I liked this cartoon. Those of you that are extremely offended ought to consider this: aside from occasional stereotypes, television in the Betty Boop era could hardly be called offensive. Now-a-days, sex, violence, you name it, are spread throughout the media like a plague. I'd much prefer ten minutes of racism than two hours of gore or sex (or often times both). Sometimes I think lfe would be much better if we rid ourselves of such garbage and bought back the classics. I can dream...

I noticed a few interesting things about this cartoon... First there's a part where traditional music is played on a guitar. Second, the story gives the impression to be based on a Nô theatre piece. Third, I can't shake the impression it's a "Chinese ghost story" avant la lettre :) In the end the weirdest thing is, that it's drawn very much in the 30's American cartoon style and it's full of anachronisms in the storyline. Very uncharacteristic in my opinion, and therefore special :)

How many times are we ging to hash out the same exact argument. 'Income' is not everything that is earned. It is a specific term that includes any sort of investment in federal privilege. So all 'incomes' is correct under that definition. The numbers in history prove this 'theory'. In 1945 only 3.6% of the entire American population paid Code 26 subsection A. Income taxes.
