I think George Michael sings this song wonderfully, but Carrie isn't supposed to get up and sing it exactly how George would, she made it her own. She sings it amazingly and with a lot of passion and emotion. And of course George Michaels is going to have more hits than Carrie, he is older and was discovered before she was born...duh! But she will be a star and an amazing singer her entire life and I'm sure her songs will be covered later on. She deserves her fame.

I think you will find that George Michael has had loads more hits than carrie. He's been singing since about 1982. George Michael is the one who knocked Michael Jacksons earth song out the charts in 1996. George Michael is the one that can sing any big pop song in history. She looks really nervous which is understandable. I don't know if anyone on here is a studying actor but I am and I can say from experience that doing an audition is scary and exciting all at the same time. My guess is once she found out she got the part it allowed her to loosen up so she was really able to get into the role and let the emotions come naturally. Either that or she gives really good head and swallows hahahahahaha JUST KIDDING PEOPLE!!!!!!!

After all, they gave Buck no respect either because he made it without going through Nashville and he made more of an impact on country music in the last 50 years than anyone. Oh and Merle doesn't get any respect either and look and his life's work! The Opry has a problem with artists that make it on the West Coast without going through Nashville.
