No he drove the older generation one with Ewan McGregor around the world and across Africa so a total of about 40,000 miles and it was fine. Many times he dropped it and it was fine even with water crossings and some cracked frames it was still running. The Toyota Hilux of motorcycles.

GOOD DRIVERS BUT.. Wrong bike for offroad. Many people have wrong priorities by putting power first. What matters first if weight (light) of the bike, which you need to be able to control as easily as a bicycle. It's obvious the bike is too heavy as he cannot ride it standing but has to seat. Why not use a Goldwing or an Harley? What you need for easy offroad is 250-400 cc bike with heavy suspensions, high and thin frame and 100-115kg max...

Best Bike i have ever ridden. Excellent off road on packed surfaces (i.e. Dirt, Small gravel) The ASC, ESA and ABS are musts!!! I love it!

I've been waiting for the f800gs but it has been delayed until november. I'll now get the adventure instead. It is very nimble but not as much as the 800, probably. I'll mainly use it on the road and in the rough tracks of the Australian "outback". Can't wait!!

OK...I know this guy makes it look like anyone can do it, but how many can? Is it that nimble a bike? I plan on a purchase in the next couple of months, and will likely sign up for BMW's Offroad course in South Carolina, but wonder how long it will take to handle a bike with such ease...EXCELLENT VIDEO!

i saw that footage of mongolia and khazakstan and the road of bones from long way round. its very similar to terrain here in oregon only not quite as bad. that footage of them crossing the streams which washed out the roads is common here. i ride on logging roads here like that, only the road of bones looked easier than my logging roads.

charlie can do wheelies but they both lack offroad skills. but like i said despite this they forge ahead on great treks anyway which makes them very cool. ewan may be rich and famous but they are both underdogs in the sense that they are essentionally a modern day lewis and clark on motorcycles despite lacking offroad skills. you got to admire that.

charley and ewan are really awful at offroading. they dont know how to fall, how to keep their balance. they have no skills. However that is why they are so charismatic, they are crappy riders who through sheer will overcome their obstacles. i think i speak for most americans when i say we love the underdogs maybe lacking in skills who possess an iron will. and charlie has a great sense of humor and is very entertaining. he should make it his career doing travelogues to all countries.

La de esta escena es "Oh fortuna imperatrix mundo" del carmina burana de Carl Off. Las demás eran de Wagner (Tristán e Isolda, Anillo Nibelungos) saludos.

Una escena increible, sobre todo la fuerza visual de los jinetes entre los almendros...No os suena una escena de Gladiator en la que también caen flores... Esta pelicula creo que ha servido de inspiracion a muchas de las peliculas de los ultimos años. No os perdais la escena final de la pelicula con la musica de Wagner y la dama del Lago INCREIBLE
