Some people say Keith is great, others say he sucks. I think he's great at REAL blues. Better at the blues than Hendrix even. Keith can't play as fast as Hendrix, but each guitarist has their own style, and Keith is great at playing blues. Even on electric guitar Keith made some of the best R&R songs ever. "Stray Cat Blues," "Paint It Black," "Sympathy for the Devil," and "Gimme Shelter" to name a few of his greats. And I totally agree with what briandood said.

ya i think its a matter of opinion, i just dont like when people on youtube, say metal doesnt take any talent, it takes an enormous amount of talent to be a GOOD metal player, like john Petrucci, im just sayin wat my personal experience is, after i mastered blues i tried to play metal, and i just couldnt do it, it required and unbeleivable amount of theory, dexterity, and precision i just dont have. so in my opinion it harder, but its all personal preference

I got the album of this session a few years ago. This is my favourite track in what is a superb album - one of the very best duets you'll ever hear. But I could never tell which part was played by which player! Didn't know if it was Albert, or if it was Stevie imitating Albert, or if it was Albert imitating Stevie imitating Albert!! rocknfenderguy....i think the reason why Albert played with his strings reversed is this. I would imagine when he first picked up a guitar it would have been a normal right handed guitar, him being left handed the high E would be at the top so he would get used to playing this way. Probably when he could afford a "lefty" it would be too complicated to change his style. I've noticed Doyle Brammall does the same. That's what i think, if anybody out there can think of a better reason i'll listen.

I love the song and the album. I just wished that the video was better. I don't know if the director was an idiot or the budget was a kid's lunch money, but I wished they could have secured NIGHT footage for a song that symbolized midnight on the album. I first head this back in 1971 or 1972. It was around a while but I wasn't tuned into it.I used to perform it and sing it myself. It's a GREAT song! I LIKE the flute solo in here too. The entire album was "Days of Future Past" and it is full of WONDERFUL SONGS! These guys are one of my favorite groups who sing in English. There aren't many.

The point is that the same principles of inflection and the hook work in oration as well as song writing. Early in his campaign, Obama used a lot of empty rhetoric that sounded quite grand while saying nothing at all. He could keep it up as long as takes. If you like this video you should consider purchasing it in it's entirety; the concert was recorded live and all the other musicians are top notch. This is Gary at his finest, I think, mixing Blues with his Rock roots for power blues better than anyone else does it. Plus, Albert King and Albert Collins are in it, and they both passed away shortly after this concert was done, so it's a classic in the truest sense.

lounge cancer? wtf. Jeff Healey didnt die of lounge cancer or eye cancer. His body was riddled with cancer all over and they couldnt keep up.. he went in for surgery of lung and leg cancer in January of 07, and had chemo.. and still the cancer took him in March of this year... Just too much cancer. Poor man.

He had a form of eye cancer called retinoblastoma and had to have his eyes removed when he was 1 year old. He was an absolutly amazing human being. From what I've read about him, not only was he extremely talented, he also had a big sweet heart. It's such a shame that he had to go so young. I would have dearly loved to have met him. RIP Jeff. No doubt there're some mind blowing jam sessions going on in heaven now!

Good intention.. buI dont think it turned out so good...I like both performers...But a duet really needs to have both people really there,,also John Lee hooker is more deliberate and slower and doesnt stick to a fixed meter...This is a rock song that was concieved, rehersed...produced in a studio with multiple takes...John Lee's performance is usually more organic and fluid..like a meditation...more spontaneous and with freeer form,,,
