Awful, i hate this song if there is a song i hear and get cramps in my stomach from it than it is this song. It sounds horrible and painful. Annoying like scratching nail over the school board. OMG, but it also has a funny ring to it. I do not even want to watch the movie again cuz of this song. It is like trauma, hurts even my teeth. Maybe i heard it to much as a child. Traumatized by it. @hbanana7 That is a sad, sad story. I've read a report about the childhood of a refugee, Hyok Kang, born in 1986 in North Korea. It is very moving, shows what it means to live in a cruel dictatorship. There is a french, an english, and a german edition of this very readable book. I was in South Korea in 1990. Beautiful country and nice people. I keep on hoping for a free North Korea and a Korean reunification. Best wishes from Europe.

it was NOT GERMANY that was kept powerless by the wall, as at the 1945 Potsdam agreement, the control of Berlin was spit into control zones of the then-Allied governments, with the USA, France and Britain controlling the West, later becoming Trizonia, and the USSR controlling the East. Every great musician has his own signature. You can say what you want, but Jeff defenitely has his own, which is quite different from most bass players. Usually everybody starts critizicing stupid technique stuff, like if he can play slap, tap or crap. He can play all that -I've seen him- he just got tired of it. So just cut the crap and listen to his playing... enjoy and learn. If you like other techniques, then go and listen to other bass players, just don't be so damn stupid...

he also critizes steve bailey's methods very roughly..i find him really good but i don't think he has the last word..each pedagogue has his very own methods based in his own experiences, i think everyone's work should be respected wether or not you choose it as your particular guide. he says warming up exercises are silly and don't work at all, which is a respectable perspective but he can't just start hating and craping on other bassist's work plus when they're more known and followed than him

It's true, when he plucks that low E string, it sounds totally different than the rest and really flappy, rather than round, which he does well with the rest of the strings. It doesn't match and it sounds sloppy. His technique is good, but the basics matter.

yeah, he seems to say that only his own teaching methods are correct, and america must focus on MAKING better players, rather than letting them grow. Playing music isn't everyone's thing, but he seems to want to make great players out of anyone. Not to mention he disagrees with using any kind of musical aid, like anyone could pick up an instrument and be able to play in 11/16 in their first minute, without the help of a metronome, and be perfectly in tune without the help of a tuner.

yeah. ive been to berlin quite a few times, and there is DEFINITELY no statue to The Hoff (although i was in a bar which had a shrine to him). although most Berliners quite like him (in a tongue-in-cheek sort of a way), they find it amusing that he and a lot of americans think that he caused the wall to fall. that honour would go to the USSR. (RIP)
