Your account says you're from Ireland. You say you live there, so that must mean you've left your original country because you hated it. 'nuff said. I seriously doubt you've been to Antwerp, no one who has been to both would dare say Brussels was more lively than Antwerp, let alone calling it a boring city. The fact that this video is the first one that pops up when you do a search for Belgium is not helping, either. There's a world of difference between Flemish cities and Francophone cities, but you're not even aware of that. Think of Belgium what you want, I know plenty of normal people who would disagree with you. You know nothing of this country. You live in Ireland, so ofcourse you know the good spots, you went to Belgium once and only to Brussels. think about that for a sec... It'll probably hurt a bit, but do try. As written before, you only went to BRUSSELS. No sane Belgian likes Brussels, which if you don't know the city is indeed boring. Antwerp and other cities is where it's at. And Brussels stopped being belgian a long time ago, it's about the msot un-Belgian out there. So, do you think it's smart to base your opinion of a country on one city? You being Irish and the brunt of many jokes, same as Belgians, you should know that stereotypes are rarely true. Ireland is not exactly known as the most exciting place either. Same case with Belgium. In reality our clubs, bars, cafés are filled with foreigners every weekend, and our festivals during the summer. I Love Techno, Sensation Black & White, and so many more.. all amongst the biggest parties in Europe... So stop trying to get over your own insecurities by crapping on another country.

You only went to Brussels... Wow. Try Antwerp, and the other non-Francophone towns. Or better yet, don't. Best European rockfestival 3 times in a row: Rock Werchter in Belgium. Many of Europe largest clubs & dancetemples are located in Belgium, same for many of the largest raves, etc. Many great bands, far better food than Ireland, amazing beer, some wonderful architecture, the Ardennes, the Flemish coast, ...

if you understood irish history you would know why so many irish people had to emigrate. as for "ireland has nothing on belgium" don't make me laugh. there is a reason why ireland is the third most visited country in europe (after england and france), its a fun country with lots to do. iv been in Brussels on a saturday night zzzzzzzzzz. also, im not an ignorant bigot, its just that belgium is a dull country, fact. i wouldnt say it about uk or germany.. but belgium zzzz.
