It is a misconception that 82nd become 'legs' (infantry) on the ground. Ex., all officers and NCOs are req. to go through Ranger school, many 82nd go through SERE school, Jungle Readiness Training in Panama, Cold Weather Training in Canada & New York, Desert/Armor training in Cali and spec. training in Germany, Egypt, special ops in high risk areas, serving in the Sinai.. 12mi road marches weekly, high lvl of EOD/Demo, medical & so on training, the only Div w/ Apache's, no leg mos like drivers.

I hope you all know that when you do a combat jump with a static line in any war you jump with a ruck and a weapon...you usually jump out at 1200 feet and descend at 18-22 ft per sec...making it about 60 secs to land. its the most effective way to drop combat ready troops in a war thats why the military still does it. I am currently at airborne school getting ready to graduate. Good luck everyone joining in the future its easy as hell just remember to keep your feet and knees together!

There has been one mass drop in OIF the 173rd Airborne Brigade made that jump in 2003 to secure the North with assistance from the Kurds. The 75th Rangers made a night jump in the early part of OEF, however mass drops are dangerous because the chutes used are not nearly as accurate as the chutes used for HALO steerable, and if you mass drop Soldiers and the enemy is ready it gives them a chance to shoot at the Soldiers descending, as well the HALO drops are very hard to detect by the enemy.

forgot to mention, both have very decorated histories, but the whole 101st was in Nam for five or six years, there was only one brigade from the 82 in Nam and that was for at most a year, 101st entered Nam in 1965 as a full Airborne Division, but in 70 when they left they were converted to Airmobile... now known as Air Assault, since the 1st Cav in Nam was Airmobile, but when the 1st Cav got back from Nam they were reconverted into a heavy armor division

I do agree he is not ready for the NFL yet but on the college football level its clear that him, beanie, and ringer are far above their competition. My opinion is he is not nfl ready and even though he will clearly be the first running back taken if he leaves but as far as having the impact peterson has had...i highly doubt it. I really do like moreno but i just feel he is an average running back.

Georgia was forced to abandon the running game against alabama because they were down 31-0 at the half. Its not like they gave him 20 carries and he had 34 yards- he only had 9 carries. Clearly if they gave him more plays he would have amassed better stats as far as big games are concerned- UGA vs Florida last year - 188 yards 3 tds UGA vs Auburn last year 106 yards 2 tds UGA vs Hawaii in the sugar bowl last year - 61 yards 2 tds, 6.8 yards per carry. enough said

What they do is the Army special forces will send a couple guys the seals a couple as well as marines and air force will send a couple guys then they will bring back this training the their respective units.

Ok, yah this sucks, they really do need to be given better spaces to live. BUT i have a question, do they have the option to live off base and collect BAH? Also, to bring up the fact that they are in "Iraq" for 15 months over, and over, and over is not needed. They all signed on the dotted line and knew what they were getting into. BIA = Brothers in Arms = The most realistic game that portrays the hardships of a soldier. and you also get to command a squad , Brothers in Arms Hell's Highway is the latest one out, came out the 24th. Its story is very good but the graphics are good not the best. In order to understand the story of the game though, you have to play the first 2 games. P.S. if you liked the HBO series Band of Brothers, you will like this game.

they killed it because the team that made the great medal of honor - allied assault, only made that one game, and didnt even have anything to do with the shit exp pakcs for it. most of them went on to make the first call of duty, and their expertise and dedication shines through in that game, too. very MOH game after allied assault has been shit, but the pc versions of call of duty games have been great, except number 2, which i didnt like too much
