GKFC Nick dosen't need special effects to sing!That's his voice,it's not a fake voice.Look other live performances with this song and you will see he dosen't have special effects and he still can sing.And throaty or not he is still a talented guy with a very good voice.And he has problems with his voice and he usually sings being sick,like he did in London where he got up on the stage and he sang although he could hardly speak cause he had a throat infection.See, they are professional singers!

Yeah they're definitely singing. The first guy is flat. Regularly. Second guy is quite throaty and struggles with just about every note he sings. And has a lot of effects added to his vocals to help him out. Not a great performance at all...
