Oil costs still going up? It has been falling for the last 40 days! Solar cells are free???? WHERE!!! I WANT!!! What happened to our great pride in being an Imperialistic Power? the economy is hurting? and getting worse? I have been working two jobs this summer cause I wanted to not cause I needed to and it took me all of 2 days to find them. The earth is heating faster??? Kansas has only had 4 days in the 90's when we have usually had 3 weeks in the 100's. More tornadoes? We haven't had that many. All these supposed sources of electricity?? They are not economically profitable, they cost too much to get started right now.

Jeg bor selv i Oslo og synes at det er en flott idé at Tromsø skal få ha OL. Hvorfor skal Lillehammer og Oslo få ha det, som har hatt det før ? Og det tar bare 2 timer med fly, herregud da. Tromsø er en nydelig by og fortjener å arrangere OL. :)

Argumentet med at det er for langt unna, er nisselue-argument. Det bor flere mennesker i Tromsø, enn i Lillehammer, og for oss fra Oslo eller deromkring, er det da ett fett om man tar to tre timer i bilen, eller halvannen time på flyet(til Tromsø).Nordnorge har også det største potensiale for turisme,Ol effekten og at sportstilbud og hoteller finnes er smart. Det er noe Norge trenger,et lite land med store ambisjoner. Kvalitetstegn på samfunnet at vi stiller bredt mht idretts-anlegg geografisk.

har jeg noengang sagt at jeg tror vi er bedre enn de i nord? det eneste jeg sa var at jeg synes det er latterlig at de flytter OL fra folk i stedet for til folk. Mye dyrere blir det også, når man må bygge nye anlegg, og ikke minst tviler jeg på at etterbruken av anleggene blir særlig stor. Er ingen tvil om at trondheim eller oslo skulle vært norges OL-kandidat. men det var vel nettopp derfor regjeringen var for tromsø også, så de slipper å bruke utgifter på et OL....

Al Gores problem is that he persistently ignore the deforestation issue. CO2 is processed by plants. The rainforests are being slashed and burned. That leaves more surface CO2 unprocessed. Farbwahl, 3D Video Tracks und Video FX passen sehr gut zusammen. Besonders gefallen hat mir die time lapse am Anfang. Welche Bildmanipulationen überschreiten die Grenzen? Die Verantwortung liegt bei den Produzenten. Für den Laien sind Bildveränderungen fast nicht mehr zu erkennen. Not a bad idea and not that far from reality. Why not? We once hosted Asian Games (1958) and I think we can do it again. To host a big event like this could be a good motivation to the Filipinos to work harder for our economic prosperity. 2010 will be in China, 2014 will be in S.Korea. 2002 was in Thailand (SE Asia), 2006 in Doha (M.E). South Asia (India, Pakistan) will have a very strong contention for 2018. We could have a good chance in 2022. Dream Big! Who knows?

Yes i agree on creating a state of the art recycling facility. And for all residence including the slums to large condo-like structures for the poor that has a school near by it and basic facilities. $1-2 billion which will have good effect on the city. Manila need to rid the slums, create a massive recycling plant and build a housing project for the poor and put them to work. We need to build a huge Nature Park right in the heart of Manila to suck up all the jeepney pollution. Redevelop our roads and highways. Plant more trees etc. The way government manage their finance sucks, there is too much corruption. That is why I think this will neber ever happens unless a great radical leader steps up.

Desde Chile un abrazo a los amigos brasileños y mucha suerte a los cariocas en la candidatura de Río de Janeiro para los JJOO de 2016. Independiente de la ciudad chilena que se postule para los JJOO de invierno, creo que lo mejor es postularla para los juegos de 2022, por que, como dice el anfitrión de este canal, seguro los del 2018 los gana Pyeonchang (Korea). Pero siendo optimistas y positivos, nos da mas tiempo para preparar la candidatura y convencer a las autoridades.

Estoy totalmente de acuerdo. Nada de esto será posible mientras la Concertamafia siga apernada en el gobierno. Además se debería seguir el ejemplo de los JJOO de invierno Sochi 2014, donde el estado ruso va a colocar el 60% de los recursos y los privados rusos el 40%. Aquí la concertamafía destinaría el 99,9% de la plata para deportes a sus turbias campañas políticas, como ocurrió con el trístemente célebre asunto de Chiledeportes...

Si pero... "Chilean Andes" no es una ciudad y los JJOO se realizan en ciudades. Yo propongo Temuco. ¿Por qué? Está en la zona sur, casi siempre con nieve. Tiene varios centros invernales cercanos: Pucón (como cité), Corralco, Las Araucarias, Los Arenales. Es zona típica: mapuches e inmigrantes europeos. Está en una importante zona turística y sería un impulso económico para la región mas pobre de Chile. Además cuenta con el estadio Germán Becker. Otras opciones: Chillán o Punta Arenas.

bueno, tampoco hay que perder de vista que hay prioridades.... mira por ejemplo Peru, Alan Garcia queria organizar las olimpiadas 2016. No es capaz de levantar Pisco que se vino al suelo hace 12 meses con un terremoto y tiene 50% de la poblacion en la pobreza.... osea, un populismo asqueroso. Pensando en olimpiadas cuando su gente vive en las calles en carpas 12 meses despues de un sismo. Gracias a Dios, no tenemos politicos tan mala clase (algo mejorcito no mas, pero algo es algo).

You are wrong. Chile has the highest percentage of the population -in Latin America- doing volunteer social work according to an international study. On the other hand, Chile is the origin of many social volunteer organizations replicated recently in many countries (i.e. Un Techo para Chile, Hogar de Cristo and many more). Every year lots of young professionals move to the poorest regions of the country to help the people there, etc. BTW, if you are a proud latino, say it in spanish. Chao.

I really think it is a great idea but we really have to work hard in all areas and aspects so as to become an outstanding host for those games. We have to invest our wealth in developing a right and decent infrastructure, training people in English and Volunteering which is "unacceptable" in Chile. "I will work if I get paid only". We have to change our own mindset in that sense. I know we can make it!!! Vamos Chile que se puede. Recuerden Somos CHILENOS! Nunca se dejen llamar "latinos", NUNCA!!

Considero que Santiago debería ser candidateada para JJOO de Verano mas que para JJOO de invierno. Creo que sería mas adecuado postular algún lugar de regiones con infraestructura de deportes invernales, para descentralizar. Ej: Pucón. JJOO en Santiago debe ser la guinda de la torta. Debemos tener antes Juegos Panamericanos, por lo menos 2, para tener experiencia, y, si es posible, un campeonato mundial de fútbol antes de esto. Y además superar los robos de Chile Deportes.

Santiago 2018 quedo solo en un sueño, otro mas que nos quita el gobierno. Ademas lo mas probable es que en 2018 gane Pyeonchang de Corea ya que ha postulado 2 veces antes. Si Stgo postula deberia ser para 2022 pero las posibilidades son escasas. SI fuese realidad recien en 2026 tendriamos en JJOO en casa. Es nuestra triste realidad. ¡Que impotencia!

Tienen razon que mientras este la concetrtacion en el gobierno estos eventos jamas tendran acogida aca. Ya ven lo que lo que pasa con Madonna (sin comentario). No olviden tampoco que los JJOO se hacen con capitales privados (a excepecion de los Panamericanmos de Rio de janeiro 2007 que los financio el gobierno y causo escándalo nacional en Brasil)asi que el gobierno es una herramienta de apoyo, pero fundamental.

Dudo que el gobierno vaya a tener las bolas para semejante desafio... ustedes saben... aqui apuestan por... 1 milloncito para cursos de ingles para los 100.000 jovenes mas esforzados, pagado en comodas cuotas de 1000 dolares por 1000 meses.... mientras tienen 40.000 millones metidos en los bancos, para "alguna ocasion inesperada". Esta bien que se ahorre para casos de excepcion, el problema es que mientras tanto despilfarran la plata en corrupcion e ineptitudes (Transantiago, entre MUCHAS)
