Its frustrating whn someone gives such a misguided version of God... Yes, we do need to have God in our hearts and not running away in dreams, but that is giving non-Christians a judgemental picture of the faith. Having struggled with running away with pain in my dreams, I feel like I have a pretty good idea of the concept. It solves nothing, but when every waking moment is filled with pain, dreams can be a relief.

Nothing against U2, they are a fantastic band, and this is a great performance by Bono. But Queen and Freddie were on fire that day, it would have been hard for anyone to compare to their performance... it wasn't even that close, to be honest. You only have to go watch the crowd to see who was better that day.

Best version of Bad ever. Absolutely incredible. I was reading or watching an interview with the band where they were saying that they thought they had screwed everything up - cuz Bono went off on his walk about/vision quest into the audience. Bono was really depressed after but then the great reviews started coming in in the days following. LOVE the guitar riff!!!!!

That first throw was almost intercepted. The second play Mike Shula got sacked. The third throw was good but they still ended up fourth and four. The reverse play on fourth down was really good. They got the first and then some. The fifth play was another incompletion. The sixth play set up the field goal. He kicks it... it's got the distance... IT'S GOOD!!! Roll Tide. hmm...im debating whether this is live or not. who played the rhythm guitar while he played the solo since they are a three peice band? the bass might have been distorted, but it sounds too much like a guitar, the note seems a little too high for a bass..still a cool song though!

Einfach unbeschreiblich geil dieses Stück! Zum erstenmal habe ich es bei Digimon gehört (xD) und hab damals sofort meine Mutter gefragt was das für ein Lied sei. Sie hat es mir sofort sagen können und hatte es sogar auf CD. Seit dem ist das einfach mein absoluter favorit im klassischen Bereich, aber auch überhaupt. i feel that popular music doens't and can't expand the mind. it's not that i don't enjoy it. it's the simple fact that excellence is NOT the primary reason for its exsistence. striving for virtuosic playing with the knowledge of technique is what expands ART. without technique true art cannot be found. popular music have limitations since there is usually NO advancement of technique sought in its music making. therfore art doesnt' exsist. to make it simple, no technique hinders the art.

Also I think Popular Music is not real Music, but Art. Most of the popular Musicians have no real Instruments in their Music, like Rap or else. Actually, Chick Webb, a black man, was the one who was really responsible for propelling Ella into the limelight. The sad thing is that so many didn't want her around at first, black and white, because she wasn't 'pretty'. Yeah. Right. How about that beautiful voice, huh? The world's a better place because we had voices like Sarah's, Ella's, Billie's, and I feel Carmen McCrae, Betty Carter, and several others, though not as well known. ENJOY all.

Ella was brown, not light-skinned...further, how do you explain the relative obscurity of Carmen McRae and genuine invisibility of Etta Jones? Sarah was gorgeous, dark-skinned or no, as a young woman though her lifestyle quickly began to show in her body. I've read about Ella's failed relationship with the Norwegian...I think Ella was the most marketable and commercially successful largely because she was simply the most versatile.

Sarah is...but remember Billy was some years older than she (about 13). Also, Sarah died in great vocal shape...her chords weathered the ravages of time and excess astonishingly well. Billy's voice sounds even lower here than in his younger years, and in a way even better...I have a great recorded version of "As Time Goes By" of his from later years that I adore...the vibrato intervals are true chasms, but he's as romantic and seductive as ever, just as he is here! Real talent is timeless :)

Two talents of such stature you really can't find anyone left to compare with them. They both left remarkable recording libraries. Both recorded at length for Mercury and then Roulette; Billy then did a large body of work for Motown which has largely been unheralded but was surprisingly excellent. Only Motown would have given him a song titled "My Way" but not THAT "My Way."

I don't think it had anything to do with the color of these womens skin. Although Ella was in love and did have a semi quiet relationship with a Caucasian man that was seen but not spoken about. He did help propell her into a sort of permanant history. But I feel the lack of attention by the Big record companies left Sarah in the back seat. Due to Ella's connections she had someone to speak/fight for her during those times.

Well I understand, but how sad. We need to remember it's not about US during those times it's about the one dying! Can you imagine how Sarah must have felt. It's funny I still have the video of this clip above; I must watch this a couple times of year, the entire show was beyond great. Sarah is my favorite singer of all time, but I'll never watch this clip agian without feeling that...thing...thinking how she must have felt. Then again...they both at peace now and probably singing in the clouds.
