Sorry, mind if I butt in? Jesus didn't erase the 10 commandments, he came to fulfill them and give them their true meaning. When you hear that the 10 commandments have no hold over us, its because Jesus has delivered those who believe from the condemnation that those commandments bring. Put you faith in Jesus and the 10 commandments will no longer condemn because Jesus took the punishment for you. Hope that helps you. S :-)

Evolution is a theory based on facts. The big bang is a theory as well, but is supported. It is precisely because our perception of reality is so easily distorted that we need an objective methodology that provides repeatable testing of falsifiable claims. You may lift cars and fly elephant in your dreams, but I bet those results aren't repeatable under scientifically controlled conditions.

Well, ALL of the Bible is divinely inspired...including the parts that would seem offensive. The thing is though, that you must filter the OT through the NT or you aren't interpreting it accurately.
