actually magic didnt play all five positions during nba finals,i have that game. he only started as center with jumping for the ball and thats it,so he didnt play as center and that shouldnt be counted as that.

Hakeem isn't a power forward. He was a center all the way. And besides, he should be ahead of Russell on this list. And how do you leave Magic Johnson out of this discussion? Magic could do anything on a basketball court that he wanted. Larry Bird was my favorite of 80s NBA, but come on - Magic played all five positions DURING AN NBA FINALS GAME!

Yeah...I guess so. I'm not saying this would be the best team ever to actually play as a unit. The best unit together (one with every facet of the game included) would be SF-Oscar Robertson C-Bill Russell SG-Michael Jordan PG-John Stockton/Isaiah Thomas PF- This is one is up for debate...maybe someone like Hakeem

Disagree. Bird had skills that nobody had then, and nobody has now. While the players have improved over the years in terms of athleticism, they haven't improved in terms of vision, intuition, and the ability to slow the game down in their head. Bird would dominate today just as he did then. One of a kind player, regardless of whether he played 20 years ago or now. Check out those slap passes and no look redirects on the film. Ever seen another player do anything like that since Bird?
