Vision insurance is a form of insurance that provides coverage for the services rendered by an eye care professional such as an optometrist. There a many forms of vision insurance with the most widely known method being the Vision Service Plan (VSP). The typical vision insurance plan provides yearly coverage for eye exams and partial compensation for eyeglasses, sunglasses and contact lenses.
